Every dog, big or small, just adores the fact that their owner is pleased with them and pampers and praises them for every little thing that they do well, this is why it is so important for all dog owners to try and start some new dog training techniques and begin doing more bragging, rather than fussing. Our dogs are animals and they do naturally want to chew on something but sometimes they just do not realize that it is bad to chew on certain things, until you teach them differently, in the proper manner. Whenever you do see your dog chewing on something, do not hit them, perhaps try using a certain tone to your voice that would definitely get their attention. Pay close attention so that whenever you see them chewing on something that they are supposed to chew on, you will then have the opportunity to praise them and love on them, they just eat that kind of stuff up, absolutely! Once you do this consistently they will begin remembering that they get praised and bragged on for some of the things that they chew on and they will attempt to chew on their things more than they will your things, that they are not supposed to be chewing on.

Dog training should not be a painful experience or even frustrating, it should be an enjoyable experience, for the owner and their dog as well. This is the perfect time for you to do all of the rewarding that you see fit, and more, this is the time for your dog to grow and learn and begin behaving as you would want him to. This experience will require a great deal of patience on your behalf and if you can stick with it and really give it all that you have, your dog will reap from all of the wonderful benefits and he will then begin progressing just as you had hoped.
